Cat's Eye Poster
Digital Image Manipulation/ Compositing
This poster was designed for the upcoming release of the (yet-to-be-designed) illustrated collector’s edition of Margaret Atwood’s 1988 novel Cat’s Eye. The poster is a preview of the book cover, which includes a recognizable image of a painting described in a pivotal chapter of the novel.
The painting, titled Unified Field Theory, is depicted in precise detail in chapter 71 of the novel. It was recreated in this design to be used as the focus of the poster. The main character, Elaine Risley, classifies her painting style as surreal and photo-realistic, inspiring this digital composite image.
